The Independent 1877 Supporters Club
The original 1877 supporters club was formed in 2016 and helped generate valuable income when St.Mirren Football Club was in the Championship and struggling.
The members maintained their subscriptions during covid and created many new friendships with their comraderie and good nature knowing they were in a safe, family friendly environment, to proudly show off their black and white colours.
However, in April 2025 without any consultation with members and supporters, the football club decided to raise membership fees by 67% to an unaffordable level, without proper consultation with the existing members.
The football club also announced the 1877 club was being taken over.
As a result a group of disenchanted members decided to form the new independent 1877 supporters club.
The benefits of the Independent 1877 Supporters Club
We plan to revert to the original values and principals of the founding members of the original 1877 club and will provide the following facilities for members and their guests:-
1.Question and answer sessions pre match with former players with an open mic for questions from members.
2.Sports TV for matches pre and post match.
3.Longer opening hours than the previous club.
4.Food options
5.Childrens Zone (with FREE membership for under 16’s)
6.A St.Mirren feel to the venue with historical themes and memorabilia on show.
7.Shuttle buses transferring members pre and post match to and from the stadium and back to the club.
8. Members discounts of 10% from local Saints bar De Beers
9.Members discounts of 10% for town centre accommodation from Hazlit Apartments
